Well, I got an email off one of my lecturers inviting us to a modelling event, I emailed the organisers about tickets, and then they offered me paid work for the event so it's win win!
I knew Vision ID from a previous photo shoot I had taken of CAMERON FOX, posted previously.
I was able to meet a few of the 'fresh faces' and was able to get their numbers and hand out my business cards, so I have a few more agency shoots booked now :)
Here's a few images from the night.
Here are a few of the contestants;
(right) Chloe came 2nd place for girls at the end of the event
(Davey, Left and Matt, Right are friends of mine, Matt came in the top 5 boys)
Here's Kurt(First photo left) with Davey and Gareth (Second photo left)
Kurt came 2nd place boys and already had received a contract with Vision ID, and Gareth came 3rd place.
This is Hollie, She's now a top fashion model, scouted by Vision ID (Previously Kirstie Howells) and now placed with Models 1!
An absolutely stunning girl, you can just tell she's a model, and so down to earth.. I spent my whole night with her and Kirstie Howell's telling me how pretty I was and how they loved my hair, was crazy!
Here's Kurt with Kirstie, Kirstie is a little bit on the champagne side, but still a very laid back and professional agent! Find Kirstie's website here;
Hey guys, I want to tell you about a local brand called Stella & Dot.
I recently modelled some of their new stock at a fashion show held in David Lloyd's Gym and Spa and watched to show you some photos :)
Before we left. Black and white to disguise my rash haha.
Painted my nails. nice and sparkley silver :D
My super cute bargain ring! reduced from £2 to £1 in Primark ;)
Here are some items from the collection, they're so beautiful!
The silver necklace at the bottom on the right is my favourite! it's so nice. XMAS IS COMING!
I love the blue ring!
We all got a little bit excited when this was being put together
Make up artist (Danielle Forster) made my face look human wonderfully well for my daytime look.
Some great entertainment for the guests!
and my reward for being such a good sport! was so yummy!
Overall, the event was great! despite the small turn out of guests, we had a good time and the jewellery had great publicity!
You can find the collection at http://www.stelladot.com/ HAVE A LOOK! I'll posts the photos from the actual catwalk when they're put online..
but my next most will be able the Vision ID and Models 1 event I went to last night!
Once again, I'm sorry for not posting enough, so I thought I'd show you what I've been spending my student loan on..
Since September I've been working at New Look, a store in our big mall St David's 2.
It's quiet, but hey! I get 50% off so I'm quite happy.
Here's a few bits and bobs I've bought from my works lately.
I'm not a big fan of creepers, but they're so comfortable, and they also make me feel really tall! and I love looking a wee bit taller than I actually am! (I'm 5ft 7 and a half! half an inch too small to model for select model management! :( woah is me!)
I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything black this season, because all they have in shops right now is black, dark green, skulls and crosses, and I'm more of a flowers and lace person myself.. but I didn't keep to this, I've bought two pairs of black wetlook jeans, black and blue floral trousers, black dress, black leggings, two black cardigans, black creepers and silver and black peplum tshirt. They look nice, but I need more colour in my wardrobe!
I also bought this coat from New look, but it wasn't on the POLYVORE page.
It's so comfortable! and suprisingly matches a lot of my clothing, (apart from my black and blue floral trousers :( )
I just had to buy it with my discount, for £25 I will never take it back!!
I also did a little bit of shopping on the Student Lock - In event in the same mall.
Student lock in is an event where the majority of shops in St David's 2 have sales (10-40% off, pubs and clubs give out vouchers and monster energy drinks too!)
Here's what I bought at these.
My personal favourites from this set are the high waisted shorts from Miss Selfridge, bought with 20% off, and the Lion Body suit, from Primark for £6! went very well with the black wedges, half price from New Look for a night out in town with the ladies enjoying my freshers!
